Hey
Hey, I'm excited, I'm getting this done at the beginning of the month!
I've
just finished reading Many Lives Many Masters by Dr Brian Weiss on past
life regression and what
a fascinating read it was! (Grammar police please ignore my ending
the sentence with a verb.)
Dr
Weiss is an eminent psychiatrist who is head of the Department of
Psychiatry in Miami. He had a patient known as Catherine, come to
him because she was suffering anxiety, panic disorder, fear of choking
to death, fear of drowning, fear of dying and was debilitated by her
symptoms.
He
worked with her for a period of some 18 months and nothing made much of
a difference, so he decided to introduce hypnosis. Low and behold,
Catherine slipped into spontaneous past life regression and many
interesting things came out... For a mainstream psychiatrist who
did not believe in reincarnation, this was both frightening and
bewildering. Dr Weiss documented the sessions meticulously and
actually recorded all of the past life regressions.
Over
a period of 3 months, they worked together and as Catherine examined her
past through past life recall via hypnosis, she lost her fears completely and
began to radiate peace and happiness.
By
the way, she was a pauper, a servant, royalty, black, white,
American-Indian, European, a Viking, French, German and male and
female. She recognised many people from her current life, as being
relatives, friends or her killer in previous lives.
I
remember the first time that I took my former husband into past life
regression (oh, that was about 1989 - gosh that is a long time ago), and
it was a scary and interesting experience. Scary because it was my
first time in doing anything like that, and interesting with what
transpired.
I
have had a couple of spontaneous experiences of past life recall, and
have guided a number of people through past life regression.
For
those of you who don't believe in past lives, please put your beliefs
aside for the moment and read the book, as Catherine herself found it
difficult initially due to her own Catholic beliefs.
This
book is a wonderful easy read and I thoroughly recommend it.
Past life
regression can be of great use in uncovering learnings and letting go of
emotional overload, particularly fear, and if you are interested in this
area, do call and have a conversation about what is involved.
